Lifeline Express expanded the operations by sending additional medical teams to areas where there is no station for the eye train hospital, bringing medical services closer to patients. The two eye train hospitals performed 5,892 cataract surgeries at six locations, and the medical teams performed 434 free surgeries in Qingyang, Gansu, helping 6,326 impoverished cataract patients regain their sight.
